Hillary Clinton for President -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillary_Clinton

This is a cool assignment because...
I started out doing her because I really didn't like her, or at least I thought I didn't think I did. I went to Wikipedia.com and looked up hillary Clinton for Predident that didn't pull up anything. Then I went to Hillary Clinton and found an entirely long article on her. One of the things I was concerned about with her was that I was afraid the entire campaign would be based on the fact that she was a woman - and possibly not on the experience I thought she didn't have to run our country.

After reading the article which pretty well summed up her entire life, I got to know her a lot better. As I am well aware of many news and other journalistic entries are biased, this is another reason for going to Wikipedia where the public can give info. and hopefully unbiased info can be attained...yeah!!! It gave the many accomplishments of her life, the things she has stood up for supported. I liked the way she has supported the war effort and women and children issues. This was an extremely informational and educational article.

The pictures there were very good and suppoted the text. Picyures of her with her family; supporting her husband - whether I can stand him or not. There were pictures of her with children and pictures of her books with her picture on them. These photos allowed me to see a softer side of Hillary... one that I might not have gotten to see otherwise. These pictures show her laughing and serious, but mostly happy... which is needed. We need someone who is happy to run our country. We need someone who knows who they are and who has a proven track record of performance. That is what this article portrayed. I am strictly pro -life,..period!!! This will or would make it very difficult for mre to vote for her. I like the fact that her pictures portray her in different roles, and with her family. She is an accomplished person as I learned from reading and viewing this article...that is journalism at its finest!

This article encompassed a whole lot of different issues in a chronilogical time line which I found helpful. This article listed her contributions to her husband's career, her career and of course society as a whole. On the flipside it presented controversies on the other hand. It gives her voting record which is hard to deny or change... Yeah! These are the facts people want and need to know- not just a bunch of fluff and promises about the future. I wanted or needed to know what qualifies or doesn't qualify her to be the president; and this article gives this info.

This article gives a list of her writings and recordings; another way to get to know her. It lists her awards and recognitions: another proof of the pudding. This is what we all need to make an 'informed choice.'
This article also gave links for outside readings or informational information to become even better acquainted with this person. It gives the information overall one needs to be involved with her candacy in a distance way, but for most of us the only way we can... and with a name we have grown to trust... Wikipedia.com!!!

I came to this article with a more closed mind than open and walked away with a totally different viewpoint... Yeah!!! That's journalism. Having said all this; she likes kids and nature...how bad can she be?

Someone's Sunglasses

wk9 Homework

-the purpose of my video idea is to sell sunglasses.
-The audience is anyone and everyone.
-That you too can change your personality by changing this important accessory.
-The first clip is going to be of Gabrielle and her rock-in-roll personality.
-The video will be staged at various spontaneous places.
-The special props I will need are lots of different sunglasses.
-The people who will be in my video Gabby; Solomon; Heather; Tabitha; and myself; they have no choice they are related or my partner...giggle, giggle.

We don't have to be so locked into a specific image. By playing around and having some fun we can see that we can be free to experiment; let our guard down, etc. It is good for the soul to try on other attitudes! We can be whoever we want to be; or how we want to be...even if it is only for a little while it can expand our horizons; strtch our imaginations and find out more about ourself.
